Kart racing or karting is a variant of open-wheel motorsport with small, open, four-wheeled vehicles called karts, go-karts, or gearbox/shifter karts depending on the design. The first kart manufacturer was an American company, Go Kart Manufacturing Co. (1958). In 1959, McCulloch was the first company to produce engines for karts.
The global Karting market revenue is estimated to grow from $8.5 billion in 2014 to $10.3 billion in 2020 at a CAGR of 5.21% from 2014 to 2020.
Europe and North American are the global leader in the production of Karting and this dominance is expected to continue till 2022.
