“The expansion of the global babies’ garment industry is forecast to reach 1.5% p.a. in the coming years. Between 2007 and 2013 the market increased with an average annual growth of 2.4%. Currently, babies’ garments of cotton account for 77.9% of the global demand while the remaining market share is divided between babies’ garments of synthetic fibres (16.2%) and other babies’ garments (5.9%).
Brazil, China, France, the United Kingdom and the United States represent the largest babies’ garment markets while the strongest annual growth is forecast to occur in Cambodia (20.0%), Panama (16.9%), Bolivia (13.8%), Tanzania (12.3%) and Ethiopia (12.0%).”
