Date: 2015-12-13

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is an acronym for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, which is an aircraft with no pilot on board. UAVs can be remote controlled aircraft (e.g. flown by a pilot at a ground control station) or can fly autonomously based on pre-programmed flight plans or more complex dynamic automation systems. Farmers use UAVs for crop spraying. UAV is also now becoming the invaluable tool by farmers in other aspect of farming, such as monitoring livestock, crops and water levels. Farmers also use it for fast data gathering on crop health, improving yield plus reducing input cost.

Global civil and commercial UAVs market size is around 6.4 billion dollars, commercial UAVs occupied about 11% of total UAV market. China has 70% of commercial UAV market shares.
