“The expansion of the global sauce and condiment industry is forecast to reach 3.6% p.a. in the coming years. Between 2008 and 2014 the market increased with an average annual growth of 6.1%. Currently, tomato ketchup and other tomato sauces account for 13.3% of the global demand while the remaining market share is divided between soya sauce (6.4%), prepared mustard, mustard flour and meal (4.3%) and other sauces and condiments (76.0%).
China, France, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States represent the largest sauce and condiment markets while the strongest annual growth is forecast to occur in Morocco (29.1%), Kenya (25.8%), Senegal (20.6%), Rwanda (12.9%) and Panama (11.9%).
