Seed China News 1507(12 issues per year)

Date: 2015-08

“In China, seed enterprises can raise capital through issuing shares on Shanghai Stock Exchange or Shenzhen Stock Exchange. This type of financing usually has higher qualification requirements for seed enterprises comparing to the New Third Board (National Equities Exchange and Quotations for small and medium-sized enterprises) which is also financing capable. It seems that the New Third Board is highly attractive to Chinese seed enterprises at the current moment. As of 14 July, 2015, altogether 12 Chinese seed companies have entered the New Third Board. Insiders also expect that another dozen of seed companies are entering or preparing to enter the New Third Board. If the 12 seed companies that entered the New Third Board can develop will in the future, they may apply for IPO on Shanghai Stock Exchange or Shenzhen Stock Exchange in order to raise enough capital for development. Details of these companies will be provided in this issue.

The USD/RMB exchange rate in this issue is USD1.00=RMB6.1149 on 1 July, 2015, sourced from the People’s Bank of China. All the prices mentioned in this report will include the VAT unless otherwise specified.”
