“On 22-24 Nov., 2015, the 31th Plant Protection Information Exchange & Pesticide and Machinery Trade Fair was held in Hefei City, Anhui Province. During this period, safe and scientific pesticide application and zero growth application of pesticide summit was also held. How to response to zero growth of pesticide application and pesticide usage reduction become hot spots among them.
Chen Youquan, Deputy Inspector of the Planting Industry Management Department, Ministry of Agriculture, introduced that to promote the zero growth of pesticide application is mainly relying on increase pesticide utilization rate and substitute number:

By promoting pesticide innovation, improving application machinery, developing professional services, strengthening science and technology research, the utilization of pesticide will be improved.
By developing green technologies and products, the substitute number of pesticide will be increased.

Pesticide enterprises should follow this trend to R&D and market new products.
Sun Shubao, President of China Crop Protection Industry Association, stated that to promote the zero growth of pesticide application is to change pesticide application structure, improve application methods, so as to improve the use efficiency. Zero growth of pesticide application not only needs new technology support, but also new chemical and biological methods, such as unmanned aerial vehicle, crop solutions. In addition, guide farmers to use pesticide in a scientific and safe way is also an important point.
At this meeting, zero growth of pesticide application has become the consensus of many pesticide enterprises. Some have taken actions, for instance, Hebei Veyong Bio-Chemical Co., Ltd. has cooperated with crop stations to construct demonstration base in 140+ countries. Others researched highly efficient and greed pesticides.
