New SUP board prices range from US$600 to US$3500 and most use glass-reinforced plastic construction using polyester or epoxy resin that is compatible with the polyurethane or expanded polystyrene foam used in the core. Some SUP boards use a hollow wood construction instead of foam with epoxy resin.

Geographically, America is largest market across the world, Hawaii is the original birth place for the Stand Up Paddle sporting, according to report, the America is expected to register at a CAGR of 7.8% over 2016-2020, the region followed by Europe, which also growing at over 6.0% annually.

According to the Outdoor Foundation’s 2013 Outdoor Participation Report, stand up paddle boarding was listed as the most popular outdoor activity among first-time participants. The report stated that the median age for stand up paddle boarding was 28 years old.
