“The expansion of the global electricity control and distribution equipment industry is forecast to reach 5.4% p.a. in the coming years. Between 2008 and 2014 the market increased with an average annual growth of 7.9%. Currently, electrical distribution and control boards account for 28.9% of the global demand while the remaining market share is divided between electrical sockets and plugs (8.7%), electrical relays (5.0%), automatic circuit breakers (4.7%), not equipped electrical panels and boards (1.6%), electrical fuses (1.5%), isolating and make-and-break switches (voltage > 1 kV) (0.7%), electrical lamp-holders (voltage < 1 kV) (0.4%), lightning arresters and voltage/surge limiters (voltage > 1kV) (0.3%) and other electricity control and distribution equipment (48.3%).

China, Germany, Japan, South Korea and the United States represent the largest electricity control and distribution equipment markets while the strongest annual growth is forecast to occur in Macedonia (15.1%), Slovakia (14.4%), Morocco (12.7%), Vietnam (11.4%) and Latvia (10.9%).”
