China’s Export Volume of Abamectin Formulations Increased by 28.85% In 2014

“Entering into April, farmers in most regions of China are transplanting rice seeds successively. As a staple food, rice is widely planted in China, but the pests and diseases strike heavily and frequently The accumulative stricken areas of major pests and disease reach 106.67 million ha (1.6 billion mu) in China in the average year, which provides huge market opportunities for pesticide enterprises. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the cardinal number of occurrence of diseases and pests, forecast of the whole year’s climate trend, crop composition and distribution, and farming methods, the National Agro-Tech Extension and Service Center (NATESC) made an announcement on predication that plant hopper, leaf roller and borer will pose the largest threats to rice in China in 2015, and the accumulative stricken areas will reach 67.33 million ha (1.01 billion mu). Other pests and diseases will occur slightly. 
According to the statistics from the ICAMA, on 24 April, 2015, the registration number of pesticides to prevent and control rice leaf roller, rice plant hopper and rice asiatic borer reached 877 and 1,200 and 748 in China, respectively. And the hot products, like imidacloprid, chlorpyrifos and abamectin, take up large proportions. It’s also indicated that pesticide enterprises face fierce competition in rice insecticide market. 
Pesticide manufacturers who apt to capture more market share in rice insecticides will focus on the R&D of new insecticides with high efficiency, low toxicity, biological activity and flexibility. They also provides all-around crop solutions from sow to harvest to farmers.

On 26 March, 2015, Nanjing Redsun released the 2014 full-year financial report. Accordingly, it achieved a YoY increase of 18.33% in pesticides sales, and the gross profit margin of pesticides edged up by 0.15 percentage point to 26.77%.

On 11 April, 2015, ENN Ecological released the 2014 full-year financial report. Accordingly, it achieved a YoY increase of 32.34% to USD145.79 million (RMB895.62 million) in pesticides sales. The company will continue to strengthen pesticide business in 2015.
