“• At the start of the review period, the Polish market was one of the most vibrant in Europe butgrowth in recent years has been severely hampered by the downturn in births (in 2013 11% fewer babies were born than in 2009).
• As a result of these various factors, total consumptionstood at40,819tonnes in 2013, an increaseof 6.8% since 2007, while total market value reached PNZL1.22 billion (US$ 387 million), an increaseof 36.9%.
• Consumptionhas increased in allsectors, with the exception of drinks, withthe highest gains in wet meals (+ 26.5%) and milks (+ 16.7%). Consumption of cereals rose by only1.8%.”
